Loving, Advocating for, and Losing My Sadie
The story of my beautiful Sadie and her heart condition, Ventral Septal Defect, the battle for treatments to prolong her life, and her ultimate passing, is one that comes straight from my heart, and Sadie’s
My Soulmate Kitty
The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched… They must be felt with the heart.

Losing my precious girl, my soulmate cat, was one of the most painful things I have ever experienced. I felt SO alone during that time.
Even friends couldn’t help; not even the daily calls from my then boss Richard Simmons, urging me to get out of bed, couldn’t erase the deep pain in my heart.
On the 7th day after Sadie’s passing, I got out of bed, and I wrote Sadie’s Heart. I wrote it for me, but I also wrote it for YOU, you who are experiencing the loss of a soulmate cat or dog, and the pain of that loss.
Often our friends mean well and tell us to “get over it,” or “it’s only a cat/dog/bird etc…”
As you and I know, it’s just not that easy.
Grab a box of tissue before you read… And hug your cat!
With Love,
Sadie’s Mommy
